City of God is passionate about reaching people who feel far from God, far from church, or unsure if they even belong in a church.

Our heart is simple: COME AS YOU ARE.

You don’t need to have it all together. You don’t need to clean yourself up first. You don’t need to know all the answers or all the right words.

City of God was planted with a burden to reach the unchurched, and the unreachable — those who may never step inside a traditional church building, those who have been burned by religion, and those who are longing for hope but don’t know where to turn.

THE BEGINNING

City of God was born out of a calling from God—a call placed on the hearts of Daniel and Stefaney Bourget to plant a life-giving church in the city of Providence, RI.

City of God began to take shape in January 2024, not in a grand sanctuary, but in the humble setting of a living room on the East Side of Providence. For the first 14 months, we gathered for prayer in that intimate space—first on Wednesday afternoons, then shifting to Friday evenings—as the Spirit of God moved powerfully in each upper room gathering.

As that initial season came to a close, God opened a new door. City of God is currently meeting at the Providence Life Center every Friday evening. Also, meets once a month on a Sunday morning at Medici in downtown Providence. We will carry forward the vision to see lives transformed, hope restored, and Jesus lifted high in the heart of the city.

We believe that the word of God is the ultimate and final authority. We preach it boldly, teach it faithfully, and live it obediently.

We are a praying church- dependent on hearing Gods voice through daily devotion. We believe prayer is our first response not our last resort.

WORSHIP

We create an atmosphere for heaven to touch earth by ushering the presence of God through the heart of worship.

PEOPLE

We love radically, serve sacrificially, build authentic community, and intimate fellowship.

HONOR

We honor God and one another, recognizing the value He has placed on every life.

GENEROSITY

We give joyfully of our time, talents and treasure- because God gave first.

To reach the lost, disciple the found and activate the called.

We are a people of vision-led by the Spirit, guided by the Word, and we follow God’s prophetic blueprint for our cities, our church, and future generations.
