OUR STORY

Daniel & Stefaney Bourget
Founder & Lead Pastors | City of God
Pastor Daniel and Stefaney are the visionary leaders and founders of City of God, a church built on the belief that God still transforms lives, families, and entire cities. Their story is one of redemption, restoration, and relentless grace.
In 2013, Daniel’s life was dramatically interrupted when he was arrested due to his involvement in criminal activity. While the enemy intended it for harm, God used it as a catalyst for transformation. During the 18 months he spent awaiting trial, Daniel experienced the life-changing power of Jesus Christ. He accepted salvation and was baptized alongside Stefaney. The very next day, on May 4, 2015, Daniel was convicted and sentenced. He began his incarceration not as the man he once was, but as a new creation in Christ.
At the same time, Stefaney was walking through her own personal awakening, but after Daniel’s incarceration, her walk was tested. She carried deep hurt, bitterness, and resentment-making painful decisions that brought lasting consequences. As a single mother of two, Stefaney struggled to hold everything together, and feeling far from the peace she once knew. BUT GOD, never let go. Through HIS grace and a renewed faith, Stefaney began her journey of healing and growth.
Upon Daniel’s release from prison in 2018 he proposed to Stefaney, they married a year later and welcomed their third child.
With that powerful testimony, Daniel was ordained as a pastor in 2020 and launched a prison ministry to reach the broken, restore the lost, and to bring hope to those still behind the walls where his own transformation began. But God was not done.
Today, Daniel and Stefaney serve as lead pastors with a love for people, bold faith and raw authenticity. Their message is clear—no one is beyond redemption, and every life has divine purpose. From the ashes of their past, God has raised up a church rooted in healing, hope, and the power of the Gospel. Together, they lead with transparency and truth, believing that brokenness is not the end of the story—it’s the beginning of God’s greatest work.
